Terms of Service
The terms that apply when you use Kivora, written as plainly as the rest of this site.
Last updated 24 August 2026
Agreement to these terms
By creating a Kivora account or using this website, you agree to these terms. If you are setting up an account on behalf of a shop, you are agreeing on behalf of that business and confirming you have the authority to do so.
What Kivora is — and isn't
Kivora is a till, stockbook and debt list for one shop, in one app: recording sales, tracking stock, tracking credit customers, and showing you profit.
Kivora is not accounting, tax, or legal software, and does not provide financial, tax, or legal advice. It is a tool for recording and understanding your own numbers — for accounting, tax, or compliance matters, consult a licensed professional.
Accounts
You must provide accurate information when you sign up and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account, including actions taken by staff you invite.
You choose what staff accounts can see and do inside your shop. Removing a staff member's access is your responsibility once they stop working with you.
Plans and billing
Notebook is free, for one person and up to 50 products, with no card required.
Counter includes a 14-day free trial. After the trial, keeping Counter's features requires a paid subscription, billed monthly. If you don't add a card, your account moves back to the Notebook plan automatically — nothing you have recorded is deleted.
You can cancel a paid subscription at any time from inside the app. There is no long-term contract. We don't provide refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by law.
Your data
The products, sales, customers and records you enter are yours. We store and process them so we can provide the service to you, and so you can access, back up and export them.
You can export your data as a spreadsheet at any time, and take it with you if you stop using Kivora.
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter — Kivora calculates profit, margin and landed cost from the numbers you provide.
Acceptable use
Use Kivora for your own shop's records, lawfully and in good faith. Don't try to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the service, resell access to your account, or use it to store or process anything illegal.
Offline use and availability
Kivora is built to keep working without a connection, syncing once your device is back online. We work to keep the service available and reliable, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we recommend keeping your own backups of anything you can't afford to lose.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using Kivora and close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, misuses the service, or goes unpaid for a subscribed plan, after reasonable notice where practical.
Disclaimers and liability
Kivora is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it accurate and available, but we don't warrant that it will be error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent permitted by law, Kivora is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profit, arising from your use of the service.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, such as liability for fraud.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. If a change is material, we will let you know inside the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Kivora after that means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Kivora is registered to operate, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
